Library-wide search from anywhere

It would be great if typing in the search bar would search the whole Library, rather than just the collection you're currently in.

It adds some friction having to go up and select "Library" every time you want to search. I try to keep a "Library" tab open, but when you're working fast you want to just search and go. Then I realize and have to click "Library" and then do the search again.

Double-bonus would be an option to have searches open in a new tab. :)

    Hi,

sometimes I find useful searching only inside a project/folder only and I'm not convinced making the search always works for the entire library is the top for everybody, but eventually, we'll give it another round of thinking.

    Cheers.

    Hi Danilo,

I agree that “always” wouldn’t be right for everyone, but it would be great
to have an option. I use Pixa as an icon organizer, and with thousands of
icons, it’s ideal to type “printer” and see every icon across all the
collections. Once I’m in a collection, it’s feasible to just scroll to
    browse that collection.

Anyway, a workaround is to hit Command-T for a new tab, since that opens to
Library. Just have to add that to my search-muscle-memory. :)

Thanks very much for the response!
