Can you use one icon for a PDF file that can be seen by both PC and Mac

We just have one PDF that needs to be seen by a PC and Mac. We don't want to have to upload a PC version and Mac version.
So if I make the PC icon on my mac can a PC version see it?

    Hi Randolph,

no, MacOS and Window icons are two completely different formats and work differently in both OSs. Also, PC icons require being installed using the target OS to work correctly.

    Cheers.
