I am converting a png to a icns. The file size of the png is 128x128px, however when converted to icns its file size goes to 1024x1024px.
Is there a way to resolve this?

    Hi Tim,

The icns format is structured like a container of different images. Specifically, it contains the sizes from 16x16 to 1024x1024 pixels. Image2icon create all the sizes inside the icns file and let MacOS decide which size display accordingly to Finder preferences. If your preferences are set to show icons as 128x128 the correct size will be show.

    Cheers.

    Sorry,
I feel kinda foolish, I forgot about how the icns format works.
    Thanks for your quick response!
