I've created my icons for folders that are stored on my iCloud Drive. However when I copy that folder to my favourites area of finder the default icon is being used. What am I doing wrong?
I am on El Capitan and have a iMac retina 5K.

    Hi Peter,

I created a new folder on my iCloud Drive, dropped an image in image2icon, dropped the new folder in image2icon to apply to icon then copied the folder to my desktop and everything seems to have worked fine.

Have you done something different ?

    Hi Danilo,

    Thanks for the reply.

I have done all that you have done except for the final step, which is where my issue is.
The attached screen grab shows that for the ‘Open University’ folder an icon has been created - as shown in the upper Toolbar. However in the left-hand pane there is no icon, and that is where I would really like to see it.

    Hi Peter,

I strongly believe the icons of the left-hand panel are reserved to Apple.
I'll check but in the icns files these formats are not present.
