I have paid for the full upgrade but cannot see how to open the
image editing tools as mentioned in MacFormat issue 293 (November
I need to access these tools to make full use of the app because I
need to remove the enclosed backgrounds of some lettering that I
want to use in my icons. Can you please tell me how I might access
the instant alpha wand? I have tied using the suggested command of
command, shift, A but this isn't working for me.
I have an iMac running El Capitan.
Thank you for your time.

Image2icon does not come with an instant alpha support, but you
can achieve the same result using Preview.app
Here an excellent guide about it.

Thank you for the prompt response to my query. I’ll try what you have suggested.
The article in MacFormat does not mention this so I apologise for my assumption that it did.

No need to apologize, I'm actually tempted to add instant alpha
as feature :)
