Hi, the app seems to work as well as the older version. However, like all developers you are making what I think is a poor choice round the appearance of the application. I really find the flat look of th OS appalling. Apple have made a balls up with this decision. Open files on my machine all blend, when overlapping, there is bugger all to highlight the edges, in fact there are no edges. Its hopeless. And sadly you have gone the same way. Borders and Highlights and 3d imaging gove life to the screen.

I do like to put png type images on my folders. I can get your application to put an icon (PNG) on the head cover of a dmg, but it will not do it for the open dmg when triggered. It can be done with the copy paste/drag drop as you suggest, but this brings the background across as well. Can you adjust that?

All the best with it. I will purchase the new version, as I did with the older one.

    Hi Lee,

originally I was as skeptic as you about flat UI, especially for OS X, but I think is somehow perceived as simplest and more approachable by people.
Users also request flats UI because they "fit" better in Yosemite.

I have not understood the background problem, can you send me screenshot ?

    Cheers.

    Hi Danilo.
What I am referring to is a .dmg file.
I use dmg folder/files to hold all sensitive information.
In the attached screenshot, there is a base-folder  dmg entitled 06 Work .dmg. It is inside the  "untitled folder".
the icon is "pure", and using a .png file type will reproduce with out a background.
to the right is the open dmg folder where the files are stored inside. when opening the base folder, the active inside folder appears on the deskop. I am unable to make this folder accept a png "pure" image. It always has to be done through copy-paste in get info, and as such holds the background information as well.
    I hope this is clearer.

    Hi Lee,

can you send me one of your dmg files ? Nothing with sensible data in it, just a folder.

    Thanks

Sure, but you can create one.

Just open applications on a Mac,
    Go to disk doctor.
Create a disk image with a password
    Designate save to the desktop.
Both the original file and folder will
    appear on the desk top.

    You can play there.

I'll create a file tomorrow and send it

The pass word will be "icon1234"

It was too big. I made it the smallest possible, but exceeded file size for yahoo.

    Can you create your own?

    Hi again Lee,

I've finally been able to test it, I succeeded creating a transparent background icon for my mounted disk image. Maybe your is a problem with the file system of your disk image or is related to your OS X version.

    Cheers.

Thanks Danilo. I agree. Some of my files won't open from inside the dmg. I have to drag to the desktop. Crazy.

    Thanks for your app
