Glue notes

Feature request - in addition to the ability to merge notes, it would be great if it was possible to "glue" notes together that would then appear together in the editor, but their order could still be rearranged (unlike merged notes). My note taking often involves putting down new thoughts on a given project and having them all as separate notes with a hashtag doesn't really work for me, nor does having one long stream of consciousness note.

Oh, and proper version history ala Simplenote would be nice too.

Other than that , I love it.

    Hi Jason,

I get you may not want to take separate note and connect them day after but why not merge them? May you want to "un-glue" them?

We may have some news about versioning in the next weeks.

    Cheers.

    Hi Danilo,

I might want to reorder them, or easily delete one when I realize it was a
stupid idea or merge a new one with another bit somewhere in the middle
when I hadn't realised it would have been better to edit the existing note
rather than starting a new note. In Bear I can reorder notes in the notes
list and then merge them but I can then only add another new note to the
top or bottom. I do like the ability to move selected text text up and down
(something you can't do in U******) but it would be easier if you could
glue ("stick" might sound better) notes into one and still reorder them.
Another useful feature of U-know-what is the ability to split notes. I
think having all three, merge, split and glue/stick would give complete
flexibility. I think it would be better than "un-merging" them, reordering
and re-merging every time I wanted to reorder things and easier than
selecting text and moving it up and down.

I think it's about having related but separate areas that you can see
together in the same note that's the key.

    V. please to hear about the versioning though.

    Please don't censor Ulysses :D

I get your intentions but seems very specific to your way of using notes. We'll think about it.

I have to correct myself, we decided to postpone versioning to this fall to dedicate to other features.

    Cheers.
