Hi guys,

I remember you (Danilo) once told me you had planned a web version for Bear. Could you give me any update about it ?
I just can't wait ! :-)
The reason is that, at work, we are on PCs, and so Windows softwares. :-(

Please tell me that I wille be able very soon to use Bear when I am at work, far away from my MacBook !...

Best regards

    HI Jerome,

the web version is in production and we hope to ship it ( at least in beta ) by the begin of 2018.

Can you release a bear API?
This is a show stopper for me as I'm a crazy person on Mac OS / Android combo. You have some many tech savvy fans I'm sure we could build a webapp / android app around an API in the short term.

    Hi Kyle,

we can't really publish an API because Bear backend is CloudKit, but we are building a web version which will make Bear more accessible from any device.

Bear for the Web still on track for early 2018, Kyle?

    Fingers crossed!

Hi Keith! I guess your question is for Danilo, not Kyle, right ?

we had some drawback to the web development and we had to move the release date from early 2018 to mid/summer 2018, but the development is still on track.

Thanks for getting back to us with an update. Glad to hear that it's still
    on the horizon at least.

Thanks for the update, Danilo. Count me in as another person who's looking forward to the web app. My use of Bear has dropped dramatically due to the IT at my new job disabling iCloud Drive. Thus I can't access/sync Bear at work (except on my phone). I've been casting about for a replacement (Dynalist, reverting back to Simplenote, etc) but nothing even comes close. I love Bear - it's perfect for my needs - and a web app would make it more accessible to everyone. Thank you!

So excited about upcoming web version! So many of us are Mac/iOS people who work in places which are Windows only. Very frustrating to not have access to Bear's riches when away from home. Thanks for keeping us updated!

That's great news Danilo, thanks for the update. I'm a subscriber and count me as an enthusiast who's happy to do some beta testing.

Can’t wait for this. Even a rudimentary version would be sufficient for now.
