Multiple Windows?

Is there a way to pop a note out into a separate window?

I love Bear so far in almost every way! The only thing it is missing is the ability to have two or more notes open side-by-side. Are there plans to implement this functionality?

Thanks so much,

Andy

This is one of the only things holding me back from Bear taking over as my primary edit/writing app! Would love to see it!

Please don't make me go back to Evernote. Please!!!!

However, lack of this feature makes me question who this app is for and who is making the creative decisions? Multiple windows are not "wish to have" it's a must have for anybody who writes, produces content, or studies on a continual basis.

I would be very interested in that feature as well.

Also it could be interesting to be able to split the window horizontally / vertically to be able to compare notes without having to manage multiple bear window ourselves.

Like drakez, this too is holding me back from switching fully to Bear. I'd love to see you add this.

I would definitely be interested in this feature as well. It would be great to be able to have a rough outline open next to my main writing. Thanks

Hey Tim, I'm just a fellow user like you. I thought I would point out comments made in another thread yesterday by the developer about this subject.

I'm evaluating Bear app for replacement of Apple Notes and partial replacement of nvALT notes. I noticed that since Bear can't open files in external editors excludes it from being an nvALT replacement, since I use it often for programming related notes, open them in Sublime Text or other editor for some purpose, do batch operations and so on.

While I like Bear very much in some applications, and especially as an Apple Notes replacement for me, the lack of multiple open window support on OS X is maybe the thing that keeps me on Apple Notes. Ideally, I'd like to have have both the browser window view and a single note view without any clutter so that I can place it in some part of my screen, without the Bear window taking most of my screen.

Aha, There is a way that you could try.
Duplicate the bear app, and then just open it.
You can open two bear app at the same time

    @hhaha This is true :)
But I don't suggest editing notes on both Bear instance, can result in database corruption.

yeah. having a way to detach the note (the way you can detach the "I" window) would be amazing. I often need a way to put docs side by side and copy and paste from one to another.
