[possible defect] multi-level hashtags open when new note is created

Thank you for envisioning and making Bear! It's completely replaced all of my note taking tools!

Below, I'd like to point out a behavior. I'm not sure if this is intended behavior or a defect.

I use multi-level hashtags to organize my notes. The secondary level lists can get very long, so I close the primary level lists to keep things visually clean and keep all primary hashtags accessible without scrolling.

However, every time I create a new note all of the closed hashtag lists open.

1. Mac Pro
2. Close any number of multi-level hashtag lists
3. Create a new note from anywhere

Observe: all hashtag lists open
Expected (preferred): the lists should remain closed

This would be a huge UX improvement!

    Hi Sasha,

this indeed sounds like a bug, can you please tell me more about which Bear and OS version are using?

    Hi Danilo,

Sorry for the delay. See versions below.

    OS X 10.12.6
    Bear 1.2.4 (4931)

    Thanks Sasha,

another question, you create a new note using a shortcut ( ⌘N ) or by clicking on the new note button next to the search field?

    More info:

It happens when I click on new note button or using the shortcut ( ⌘N ).

However, it only happens if I am selecting a tag from the tag list. If that tag is open or closed, it does not matter. As long as I am selecting a tag, and then I create a new note, all tag lists expand.
