This comment was split from the discussion: Link within a Note

Suppose a have a note called "Test Note" and I want to link to this note from within another note, I have to create a link that looks like this: [[Test Note]].

However, if I click on the link, nothing happens...

    Hi Ton,

yes, this should work but maybe there's a bug. Please make sure you are using the latest version (1.4.1), that try to create a new note and use the autocompletion to link the test note.

Here a quick guide about autocompletion:

I'm also experiencing the same bug. I'm on El Capitan 10.11.6 and when I create a note link or click on an existing link (such as those found in the tutorial) nothing happens. Using the latest version 1.4.1

I also have this bug. Currently using Bear 1.4.1 on OS X 10.11.6.

I can create note links using EITHER the new method ( type double open square brackets [[ and use autocomplete ) OR the old way ( right-click the target note and choose 'Copy Link to Note' and paste that link into the new note )

Either way, the links are inserted but they don't work on the Mac. The cursor changes on hover but clicking does nothing.

However, both type of links DO work on iOS, even if they were inserted on the Mac.

I thought I'd started a thread on this myself but I can't find it!

I have just update my Macbook to Sierra, and now the problem is gone.

Unfortunately I am unable to upgrade to Sierra 10.12, but maybe this narrows the issue down. I have just had a reply from Mark from the Bear Support Team about my original post - looks like I filed a bug report instead of a forum post.

Hopefully this will be easily resolved soon.

this bug seems somehow connected to a specific MacOS version and this makes me think we used an API not available in 10.11. I'll check for bugs in that sense and we'll ship a bugfix as soon as possible.

    Thanks for reporting this bug.
